My Identity

...
Music Menagerie

I've always had a broad music taste, from Barbershop Quartets to Celtic Folk metal. I played Trumpet and Piano in high school, and I am currently learning to play the bagpipes with a local pipe band, playing in parades.

Actor and Improv Comedian

I've previously dabbled in acting, holding several supporting roles in musicals in high school. I've played Jean Michelle in Cinderella, Trevor Greydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and James Laurence in Little Women. Currently, I perform in Improv shows with To Be Determined Comedy, as well as performing Stand Up sets.

The Nerd

I am a major enthusiast of many nerdy properties, including Star Wars, DC Comics, Transformers, and toy collecting. I have also grown a love of many modern-era cartoons, including Gravity Falls, The Owl House, and Amphibia.

The Speedster

What started as a way to maintain my weight and get in some exercise has turned into a fun, stress-relieving hobby. I love to jog to powerful rock and metal music, and I have run in several 5K races. I hope to participate in a 10K this may, and maybe one day I can move up to running a Marathon.

3D Printer

I am currently the Secretary of Project P, which is a 3D printing club at NDSU. As such, I take care of the club's printers as well as use my own personal printer, both FDM and SLA. I will often design and print useful household items, such as a toilet paper holder or a towel rack, as well as printing miniatures and terrains for my Dungeons and Dragons games

Dungeon Master

Once a week, I set up and run a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for my friends, as well as periodically doing the same for the NDSU Gaming club. I'll write my own sessions and storylines, create combat encounters, and allow my players to run amuck in my worlds. I love to play with the personalities and voices of the NPCs, and I love it when my players come up with something creative that I didn't prepare for, so I have to come up with a response on the spot. It's a great exercise on adaptability and organization.

Eagle Scout

I was in Scouting since I was 7 years old. The summer camps were always my favorite, spending a week with troops from across the country, making friends, and doing fun activities. I earned my Eagle Scout in August 2017. My main project was erecting several lines of fencing for Mission: Wolf, a local wolf preserve in the area.

Fencer

I've always had a mild interest in fencing, so when given the opportunity to do some introductory classes, I jumped at the chance and did a semester. Unfortunately, after those classes the price was too much for me at the time, but I look forward to trying fencing again. I did compete in one tournament and got last place, and I am happy that I have a starting point to move up from.
